Frostburg State University’s WFWM Presents “The Moth” Radio Hour

On Saturdays at 10 a.m., listeners are now able to tune in to “The Moth,” a new radio program that offers recordings of stories told live, now on Frostburg State University’s WFWM Public Radio, 91.9 FM.

A modern way of continuing an old tradition, “The Moth” is an hour of storytelling. Chuck Dicken, WFWM station director, indicated that the program was a good choice for the station because it “features people telling their stories and addresses many important social issues.”

Each episode features stories grouped together by theme and told by everyday people. Michigan listener Cole Tippett commented, “I was just cycling through the radio ... and the first story comes on. ... By the end of the story I was crying. ... It forever changed me. I fell in love with ‘The Moth.’” Online listeners can find past segments online.

“The Moth” replaces “Car Talk,” a much-loved but now discontinued radio program that combined comedy with automotive troubleshooting.
