Additional statement concerning the Salary Reduction Plan and AFSCME

FSU did receive a letter from AFSCME dated October 26, 2020, which included preconditions on their part, for AFSCME to return to the table. We responded to that and are awaiting their response. So far, we have had conversations with the union five times. We’ve responded to the union’s last request. We also have a meeting scheduled with the union on Wednesday, Nov. 11, to discuss health and safety matters.

And anyone can review the archived videos of the two most recent Coffee with the President sessions from Nov. 2 for students and Nov. 6 for employees. The salary reduction plan and negotiations were among a number of topics addressed.
