Allegany Soil Conservation District Scholarship in Honor of Supervisors Who Have Served on the Allegany Soil Conservation District Board

Criteria: Applicants must be enrolled full-time in the Department of Geography with a major of Environmental Analysis and Planning OR a concentration in Environmental Science. The recipient(s) must have an overall grade point average of at least 3.0. Preference will be given to the following in order of importance: 1) permanent residents of Allegany County (MD); 2) environmental analysis and planning majors; and 3) those having demonstrated financial need.

Walter and Annette Brock Environmental Studies Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants must be enrolled (full-time or part-time) in FSU’s Department of Geography majoring in Environmental Analysis and Planning or appropriate related programs developed in the future. The recipient(s) must have an overall grade point average of at least 3.0. Preference will be given in the following order: 1) renewal applicants, 2) students with legal residence in Allegany, Garrett counties in Maryland; Mineral, Hampshire counties in West Virginia; and Bedford, Somerset counties in Pennsylvania, and 3) academic ability.

Criteria: The recipient must be a sophomore, 大三或大四, and a declared major in urban and regional planning. Applicants must have a demonstrated interest in urban planning as shown by previous scholarship or research or membership or internship or by avocation. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0是必需的. Awards may be received for a maximum of two years based on annual application. Criteria: The recipient must have a declared major in a program administered by the Geography Department with a completed minimum of 9 hours in geography and at least 45 credit hours total. A minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point average in the major and a minimum cumulative 3.0 FSU grade point average is required. Preference will be given to entering junior students. 一旦获得, the scholarship may be maintained for up to four semesters or until graduation as long as other eligibility criteria are met.

Garden Club of Cumberland Scholarship

Criteria: The recipient must be a full-time sophomore, 大三或大四 with a declared major in environmental analysis & planning, earth sciences, biology or wildlife & fisheries and/or a minor in environmental humanities or environmental policy. The applicants must demonstrate interest in the protection of the environment. A minimum FSU cumulative grade point average of 3.0是必需的. Awards may be received for two consecutive years if an overall grade point average of 3.0 or better is maintained. The recipient must be willing to participate in activities and programs of the Garden Club. Preference will be given to a resident of the Cumberland, Maryland area (within a 60-mile radius). In the event of equally qualified applicants, a preference will be given to those with demonstrated academic ability.
